The Work

Five female musicians move across the composition carrying harps, pipes, lute and lyre. The arrangement feels rhythmic and ceremonial, with each figure contributing to the flow of the scene. Wilkinson created the work as a facsimile of an ancient Egyptian wall painting, preserving the original composition while translating it through a twentieth-century archaeological copy.
