Two Faces — 46 × 66 cm (18 × 26 in)

Maison Niche — contemporary graphic work

The Work

Two faces turn in opposite directions, joined by a single sweeping yellow form that becomes hair, neck and body. Against the black background, the red profiles and blue eyes feel immediate and almost emblematic. The image is simple in construction but strong in presence, built around contrast, symmetry and the tension between two figures sharing one form.
